Football League

The football league was created in 1888 between England and Wales for what American’s call “soccer” which Europeans call football because it is played with the feet. The league is the top league in England though there are several such leagues established around the world. Two of the biggest cup games branch out of these leagues in order to keep fans locked on their televisions making sure the matches are even between teams of players based on merit and skill.

Though 130 teams total have played in the league over the years now their only exists 72 teams which play solely within the club. With 46 games played each year these teams remain super busy and completely focused on the win for their team. It is an intense and structured league system that doesn’t leave much error for screw-ups or accidents. Each team gets two chances to beat their opponent at their home field and the opponents turf before they are shipped off to play another team or disqualified. Not only does this put a tremendous amount of pressure on the players it also serves to amp up the tension for fans of the league who know how much they stand to lose if their team fails them.

Large bets are often taken and given when the football league plays every year with a pot that can average out somewhere towards thousands of dollars. This is not cheap cash to be thrown away lightly and with the ultimate win all players of the winning team will receive a bonus as well as a trophy. The win boost tickets for the next season play-offs and gives the winning team unlimited bragging rights while granting the millions of patrons that bet on them some pretty sweet earnings financially.

These games are very important to the European population as a whole therefore it is important to maintain structure and strict perimeters in whom plays whom as well as how games are played. There is a great deal of formality in the system in terms of fouls and what can and cannot be done by a player or team within a game so that standards of safety and proprietary are maintained on the field. These rules exist to keep the league going as it should and so far it is unmatched in its glory. League tickets are as hard to come by now as hot chocolate in July.
