With the racism issue involving the media & Indian nationals, my query is whether any Indian nationals or person of Indian descent have ever played AFL footy. Many other nationalities have adopted the game & played at the highest level.

Why do they tackle weird in AFL football?
January 30th, 2010I’m an NFL fan and when I hear the term contact sport I’m used to seeing superior athletes flying full speed at each other and with a massive collision a tackle is made. I caught a little AFL the other day and they kind of grab at each other and swing each other around, looks more like they are dancing more than anything else. Can anyone explain why they tackle like this?
they are not allowed to tackle above the waist.
they can charge another off the ball if it is within 3 metres of both players
shoulder only charges are allowed in rugby league
in rugby union the arms must be used as well as the shoulder in charging a player that has the ball

January 15th, 2010I know most of you will say AFL but are you taking into consideration Serbia’s Ana Ivanovic? She has just won the French Open - & how could anyone say that they could not enjoy watching her!! She is the sole reason I enjoyed watching that tournament.
I would enjoy watching Womens Tennis to AFL football - especially when Ana is playing.
What red-blooded male would rather watch a mob of sweating blokes running around rather than that Serbian beauty in her hot pink little tennis outfit?
Lovely body; lovely face; lovely tan; doesn’t grunt or scream when she hits the ball. What more can I say?
